This English-language adaptation of the Swedish novel by Stieg Larsson follows a disgraced journalist, Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig), as he investigates the disappearance of a wealthy patriarch's niece from 40 years ago. He is aided by the pierced, tattooed, punk computer hacker named Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara). As they work together in the investigation, Blomkvist and Salander uncover immense corruption beyond anything they have ever imagined.

I agree the best part of the film is Mara Rooney. Although I wouldnt say its better than Noomi ,just different
I thought the direction was better than the original and made the plot easier to follow. My only gripe was Lisbeth getting all loved up by the end.. surely thats not in the books. And while Mara deserves award recognisition.. shes up against some competetion.. Streep,Davis,Close,Williams and Swinton. But shes definitely one to watch.

Mara's portrayal of Salander was incredible. Her "revenge" scenes had me almost cheering in my seat. As the first poster said,this movie was incredible. And every actor did a fantastic job,but Mara and Craig stole the show.

Super keen to see this. Have read all the books but not seen the swedish movies yet.
Love David Fincher too, the guy hasn't really made a bad movie.
