Dennis Farina gives a tour-de-force performance as aging small-time criminal Joe May. Having lost everything he owns during an extended stay in the hospital, May struggles to come to terms with a life spent sacrificing for a glamorous future that, much like the rest of the Chicago underworld, has passed him by. But in his last days in the life, Joe is presented with one last shot at greatness.
